1. Report: Ex-Md. man at Gitmo reaches plea deal
   WASHINGTON — The U.S. has reportedly reached a plea deal with a former Maryland man held at Guantanamo accused of joining al-Qaida and participating in a series of post-Sept. 11 terror plots.
2. United gives break to pet owners on PCS moves
   United Airlines is making an exception for military families who ship their pets on that airline when making permanent change-of-station moves, the company said Wednesday.
3. Army investigates preferential PTSD treatment
   The Army is investigating its behavioral health facilities in Europe, including those at the renowned Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany, to determine whether some soldiers receive preferential treatment after being diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder.
4. Supreme Court takes on Stolen Valor Act
   The intrinsic value of military medals was pitted against the right to free speech Wednesday as the nation’s highest court debated whether the 2006 law known as the Stolen Valor Act violates the constitution.
5. Air Force officials defend Guard cuts
   Air Force leaders are fighting back against criticisms that the service made too many cuts to the Reserve component or failed to consult state-level Guard officials when it pulled together a budget.
